This keyboard has been getting great reviews for its great piano sound and ease of use. I got to play this keyboard for a couple of months and I have to say that It was really inspiring to play. The s6 grand piano sound is a new sound that you can only get on this keyboard and it is just awesome. If fact all the piano sound is really great, it also has the motif sound in the concert grand piano. I probably played this more then any other piano sound on it. Some people say that it doesn’t sound like the motif but I would say that it is very close.
I wish the keyboard had a little bigger screen, but I am guessing they didn’t think they needed one because everything on this keyboard is supposed to be controlled by a push of a button. They intended this keyboard to be really easy to understand but you there is many different buttons and you have to learn what they all do then it will be that easy.
At strait 9s and 10s across the board on this keyboard I would say for $2399 you cant beat it. It is so close to being as good as the motif that I really wouldn’t know why someone would want to spend the difference when this synth is pretty much just as good.

Some other good features on the Yamaha s90xs is the mic jack that is right in the back of the piano. Now you can hook a mic right up to the piano and record to usb, or it has its own flash memory built in that can give you 18 minutes of record time. There is a tone of more features that you can get on this piano and I am sure you will be happy with it for the price.
